As a realtor in San Antonio a question that often arises when someone is looking for a home is, "How safe is the neighborhood?" I invite you to check the sites for the San Antonio Police Department and the Bexar County Sheriff's Department. Review the crime statistics or call them if you have questions. Keep in mind, however, that these crime statistics may be based on zip codes only. Because there may be a wide range of neighborhoods within a zip code these stats won't necessarily give an accurate picture of a particular neighborhood. I strongly encourage you to drive through the neighborhood you're considering during different times of the day and on weekends to see what activity is taking place. Stop and chat with the people in the neighborhood and ask about crime, schools, etc.  |
